In the past I have focused on figurative, naïve and a more impressionist style of work. Recently I have branched out to what may be considered more abstract realism. I continue to hone my skills and have found my passion lies more in the Australian landscape. In these landscapes I love the colour, serenity and the ruggedness and find many similarities with those of Italy and France.
I am constantly experimenting with colour, style and conceptual ideas. The use of coluor in my paintings is the key way in which I express my impressions and insight into all these landscapes and to some extent defines my storytelling in my work. My cultural heritage has considerable influence on my painting and to a great extent serves as my inspiration in use of colour and subject.
