"I am interested in exploring ideas surrounding the social, psychological and physical landscape inhabited by the suburban Australian male. Drawing upon personal experience growing up in the southern Perth suburb of Rockingham, my work references the hyper masculine social environment to which I am both participant and spectator. I am seeking to examine the way in which this social milieu influences the de-evolution of the moral foundations constructed by familial influence, and the way in which ones desire to belong and achieve a unique sense of place is manifest through the rituals of this specifically male suburban existence."
