Fleur Marron is a visual artist based in North Fremantle, Western Australia.
Fleur was the Pilot Artist in Residence at Rottnest Island Summer 2013/14, where she focused on developing works depicting the rugged ‘West End’.
This body of work continues Fleur’s “Vast Country of Mine” series, inspired by Western Australian landscapes. The paintings present an amalgamation of nature’s nuances, in consideration of the history of the location, which has at times been chequered and unresolved. From spectacular aerial views through to the organisms that produce radiant colours in the landscape, Fleur captures many of the intangible experiences one encounters through their travels.
